성주 사드배치철회 투쟁위원회 “미국 대통령 후보들에게 공개질의서 보내다”

“사드배치 철회 성주투쟁위원회"는 지난 7월 25일 촛불집회에서 대한민국 사드배치에 대한 미국 대통령 후보들의 입장을 묻는 공개질의서를 보내기로 결정하였다고 발표했다.

그 후, 며칠 간의 질의서 작성 및 이메일과 주소확인을 거쳐 8월 1일 미국 공화당의 트럼프 대통령 후보와 민주당의 클린턴 대통령 후보에게 이메일을 발송했다.,

8월 2일 똑같은 내용의 등기우편을 두 후보에게 발송했다.

이제, 사드배치 철회 성주투쟁위원회는 미국 대통령 후보들의 답변을 기다릴 것이다.

<공개 질의서 내용1>

Dear Presidential Candidate Donald Trump,

We are Co-Leaders of Opposition to THAAD Delopyment in South Korea at Seongju Local Residents Association.

Korea government decided to deploy THAAD and announced the deployment of the THAAD advanced missile defense system on July 8th. On July 12, the government selected Seongju Country in North Gyeongsang as an ideal location.

However, this decision was an unilateral declaration without any discussion with local government and local residents. They did not even hold a public forum on this issue.

Thousands of local residents are fighting for anti-THAAD and Keeping peace in Korean Peninsula every day.

This movement is widely spread to Seoul, Incheon, Kwangju, Daegu and Busan, because this issue is threatening our people’s right to live. As you know, THAAD can not protect peace of Northeast Asia.

We strongly oppose THAAD deployment in South Korea for keeping World and Korean Peninsula peace. Moreover, we also hope to keep peace through the six-party talks with the United States, China, South Korea, North Korea, Japan and Russia.

We need to ask you for THAAD Deployment in South Korea and your position on Northeast Asia peace keeping. In addition, we also need to know your inclination to withdraw THAAD deployment decision.

We hope you will fight well on 2016 US Presidential election.

존경하는 미국 공화당 트럼프 대통령 후보께

우리는 “한국 사드 배치 반대 성주 주민대책위원회"공동대표이다.

한국 정부는 2016년 7월 13일 한국 성주에 사드배치를 결정하고 발표했다. 해당지역 지방자치단체와도, 지역 주민들과 전혀 협의되지 않은 일방적인 통보였다.

지역 주민들은 이에 반발해 매일 수천명이 촛불을 들고 사드배치 반대 집회를 계속하고 있다. 집회는 한국의 주요 도시 서울. 인천, 광주, 대구, 부산으로 확산되고 있다. 이는 5만명의 지역민과 한국 국민의 생존권이 걸린 문제이기 때문이다. 여기에는 동맹국 미국에 대한 불신도 분명 존재한다.

우리는 세계평화와 한반도평화를 위하여 한국에 사드배치를 반대하고 있다. 우리는 미국 일본 한국 북한 중국 러시아 6자회담을 통하여 한반도 평화가 유지되길 강력히 바란다.

우리는 묻는다.

미국 공화당 트럼프 대통령 후보의 한국 사드배치에 대한 입장은 무엇인가?

한국 사드배치의 철회를 위해 노력할 의향은 없는가?

Dear Presidential Candidate Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton,
